Stop being Complacent

Hey whats up guys!

Sorry its been a while since my intro post but ill try and get this going a bit better and more often. Something that's been coming up more often these days is people wanting to get into Rc drifting either as newbies or from a different aspect of rc. Some of these guys , strike that, MOST of these guys are getting bad or wrong advice regarding what equipment to get.

Some guys are told that old touring cars will make good drifters , slap on drift tires and just go for it or drift 50/50 and own it. Well , I for one am a champion for using what you can afford to buy  BUT provided you buy the right equipment for the job.

Technology has progressed so much that you don't need to take a regular touring car and "convert it" into a drifter. Companies like 3Racing, Tamiya , HPI, MST, Yokomo, Overdose, and a few others all produce drift specific cars..some 50/50 BUT it is drift specific. This isn't a rant, but just something I thought that I would share.

My reason for this topic is aimed specifically at the local rc community. The word im trying to use here is COMPLACENT.  We need to stop being complacent if we want to up our skill and be on the same level as our bro's from across the globe. I love all of rc drifting...from social to competitive but being complacent is what is bringing down our progression.

Im not just pulling out these comments from the air...this is based one my own experience over the years of drifting. Granted I may not have that many years behind but I do come with a quality and quantity of experience.

I know first hand the tough economic times we live in, I know this all too well. I may have been lucky but  I work hard everyday and all the time for what I have and I never take it for granted. I also save up patiently and then buy for what I want. That way I buy once and buy right.

So my advice to you guys,, complacency is what is kills progression. If you want to get into the hobby be it social or competitive get the right equipment for the job. You will enjoy drifting so much more if you get the right stuff than to struggle and get it right and then leave the hobby cos you are frustrated to no end.

Welcome!!!

Welcome!!!

Hey guys! im sure lots of you have wondered where my blog has disappeared to ...well things have changed a little bit so now I have started my own blog page to bring the latest and greatest in Rc Drifting both locally and Internationally.

Just a bit of a recap....my drifting has really taken off. After my insane fiasco trying to get my passport and visa sorted I eventually made it to the D1-10 Worlds Rc Drift Championship 2019 fulfilling my dream of competing on the worlds biggest stage! I could not have done it without all support and help from my friends and family!

It was really the best thing I could have ever done for my drifting! The amount of knowledge I gained and support from everyone especially my KMUAD FAMILY has been overwhelming and its a moment I will never forget.

It was a moment where everything clicked...well almost everything lol but basically my entire understanding of drifting clicked at that time and im so grateful for that.

In the times coming, I will be bringing you products reviews and opinions, our regular #sundaysession at our home track the Ryujin Drift Circuit and action from the upcoming SA Rc Drift Nationals 2019 to be held at EDC , Edenvale , Johannesburg. It's being touted as the most fun event yet so be there or lose out.

In these tumultuous times that we find ourselves in, we all need a little "something" to help us continue the fight in our daily lives. Some choose sports, e-sports or simply staying home....why not try the rc hobby? its a family orientated hobby that is devoid of any discrimination or racism. Its a hobby that does not contain any unequality or gender inequality..its truly a Family hobby for anyone and everyone!!1
